The Isle of Man TT doesn't need much to become one of the scariest races in existence, but foul weather can drive it into the realm where racing - or practice - turns from the mad bravery we associate participants with, into plain stupidity. So far this week, only one practice session could be held on Tuesday as per plans. Participants could get only a single lap in on Wednesday before Mother Nature decided to shut things down again.
Even Thursday saw the participants sitting it out - and with just a single practice session, there's no way the race could be run. Here's what happens instead: Thursday's practice sessions will be held on Friday, Sunday will have the Superbike race/Junior TT (it is traditionally a rest day), Monday will have the Sidecar Race 1 amd the Superstock TT will move to Tuesday. Things return to the original plan come Wednesday.
Here's to hoping there won't be any more inclement weather at the Isle of Man: Hutchinson vs Dunlop was just beginning to look interesting.
