SVS Motoworld, the official suppliers of Ixil in India, showcased the brand’s new exhaust system for the KTM Duke range at the India Bike Week, last week. It has also launched a sub-brand of Ixil catering exclusively to cruisers, called Ironhead.
While Ixil already has slip-on exhaust systems for brands like Benelli and Hyosung, this is the first time it has introduced a full exhaust system. The system consists of an X55 slip-on mated to bend pipes designed exclusively for the 200 Duke and the previous generation 390 Duke. The exhaust system is compatible with the existing ECU map of the motorcycles, and does not require a remap. Apart from a louder exhaust note, the company claims an eight per cent bump in power output. The system ships with a dB killer, which can be removed for an even louder note.
Though prices aren’t out yet, we expect the system to cost around Rs 25,000. Ixil has also launched exhaust system for the Dominar, which costs Rs 20,730. SVS Motoworld has also introduced the Ironhead brand of exhaust systems in India, exclusively for cruisers. The range currently consists of a slip-on designed for the Harley-Davidson Street 750, priced at Rs 27,500. You can visit the company’s official site for more details.
