JawaYezdi Motorcycles has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new Jawa 42 Bobber in the Indian market. The new 42 Bobber is available in a single variant and three colours. Here we bring you the top five highlights from the India launch of this motorcycle.
Design
Similar to the Perak, the new Jawa 42 Bobber packs bobber motorcycle-inspired styling and features minimalist bodywork, chopped fenders, a low single seat, and fat tyres. Other styling elements on this motorcycle comprise a round headlight with chrome mask, flat handlebar, bar-end mirrors, tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, a rider-only saddle, and twin-sided chopped-style exhaust canisters. The fuel tank features knee recesses with tank pads while the fenders and side panels feature a gloss black finish. The fork tube covers and wire-spoke wheels further enhance the retro design of the Jawa 42 Bobber. The saddle is two-step adjustable and it can be moved front and back as per the rider’s preferences.
Features
The feature list is relatively modern, and this new offering from Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles gets full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster as standard. The switchgear is similar to the Yezdi motorcycles, and so is the USB charging setup. Further, the safety net on the motorcycle comprises Continental-sourced dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The motorcycle uses a higher displacement engine as compared to the regular Jawa 42. The mechanical specifications on the new 42 Bobber comprise a Perak-sourced 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce a maximum output of 30.2bhp and a peak torque of 32.74Nm.
Hardware
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles claimed to have retuned suspension and recalibrated brakes for a sharper feel. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock while the braking hardware includes single disc brakes on both wheels.
Colours and Prices
This new bobber from Jawa will be available in three colours and the paint themes affect the price of the motorcycle. The Mystic Copper paint theme is the most affordable on the list and it is available at Rs 2,06,500. Meanwhile, the Moonstone White colour and Jasper Red (Dual Tone) paint have been priced at Rs 2,07,500 and Rs 2,09,187, respectively.
