The Jawa 42 Bobber is the most affordable bobber-styled motorcycle one can buy in India. We recently got to spend some quality time with it and you can read our first ride review here. And considering it’s a proper eye candy, it’s only fair that we do a separate compilation of its images.
The design of the 42 Bobber instantly reminds you of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber in terms of the overall stance and a few other styling elements.
What really stands out is the floating-style single-piece seat which looks distinctive. Other eye-catchy bits are the bar-end mirrors, dual slash-cut exhausts, and its low-slung profile.
With a tubular flat handlebar and mildly forward-set footpegs, the 42 Bobber offers neutral and upright ergonomics, which is fairly comfortable.
Despite the Bobber’s retro-inspired styling, it gets a decent amount of modern features like a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, a fully-digital console, and USB type-C and type-A charging ports.
Powering the motorcycle is a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 30bhp maximum output and 32.7Nm of peak torque. Also, it comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.
As for the cycle parts, it rides on an 18-17-inch spoke wheel combination which is suspended by telescopic forks and an underseat monoshock. Braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The prices of the Jawa 42 Bobber start at Rs 2,06,500 for the Mystic Copped paint scheme and go up to Rs 2,09,187 (both prices are ex-showroom) for the Jasper Red colour.
