Classic Legends has launched new variants of the Jawa 42 and Yezdi Roadster in India. While the 42 gets a new dual-tone variant with subtle enhancements, the Roadster features cruiser-like ergonomics and other updates.
The Jawa 42 Dual Tone variant is priced at Rs. 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new Yezdi Roadster costs Rs. 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the existing 42 and Roadster line-ups are priced from Rs. 1.89 lakh and Rs. 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The Jawa 42 Dual Tone variant features clear lens indicators, short-hang fenders, a new fuel tank, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, the motorcycle also features a blacked-out finish on the engine and exhaust. The 42 is available in four dual-tone colours – Cosmic Rock, Infinity Black, Starship Blue, and Celestial Copper. It also gets a redesigned seat.
On the other hand, the updated Yezdi Roadster features touring-friendly ergonomics with revised rider footpegs that are forward-set by 155mm and a taller handlebar. This new model will be sold alongside the standard Roadster variant. Like the 42 Dual Tone, the updated Roadster also features a blacked-out finish on the engine and exhaust system. Further, it also comes with new handlebar grips and handlebar-mounted mirrors.
The Jawa 42 Dual Tone continues to be powered by a 294.7cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27bhp and 26.8Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the Yezdi Roadster is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled motor that makes 29bhp and 28.9Nm of peak torque. The single-cylinder engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
