Classic Legends have introduced the new Jawa 42 Version 2.1 in the Indian market, and the motorcycle has received several styling upgrades. The company has also announced several optional accessories for the motorcycle. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the new Jawa 42 Version 2.1.
The styling remains similar to the existing model and thus the Jawa 42 continues to feature a retro design. The motorcycle uses a round headlight, bar-end mirrors, a flat seat, and a twin-sided exhaust.
The Version 2.1, however, gets a dark theme. Thus, parts like the engine, exhaust canisters, front fork covers, and the rear springs get a black finish. The new model also gets an offset racing stripe that runs along the fuel tank and into the rear fender. The Jawa 42 Version 2.1 is available in three colours – All Star Black, Sirus White, and Orion Red.
The biggest upgrade is the addition of alloy wheels instead of wire-spoke units. The alloy wheels are shod in tubeless tyres that are easier to fix in case of a puncture. The alloy wheels come as standard on the Jawa 42. Classic Legends will also offer the alloy wheels separately for existing customers.
The optional extras include a flyscreen, headlamp grille, saddlebags, and saddle stays.
The Jawa 42 already complied with the BS6 emission norms. Thus, the mechanical specifications remain unaltered and the Jawa 42 continues to use a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that makes 27bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed transmission.
The suspension setup duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear springs. The company claims that the suspension and frame setup has been re-tuned to achieve better ground clearance.
The stopping power comes from single discs on both wheels while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
The new Jawa 42 Version 2.1 has been priced at Rs 1,83,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
