- Jawa’s 293cc motor now produces 26.9bhp and 27.02Nm
- Both get a price hike of Rs 1,200
- Also get other subtle changes
Classic Legends recently launched the Jawa Classic in Khaki and Midnight Grey colours. And following the launch, the company has also announced that the Jawa Classic and Forty-Two will now come with all the updates that feature on the Forty-Two 2.1.
To begin with, the 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine now produces 26.9bhp of power; up from the earlier 26.1bhp. However, the torque has reduced from 27.05Nm on the previous models to 27.02Nm. Nevertheless, Classic Legends claim that with better fueling, the throttle response has improved as well.
Apart from this, the Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty-Two also get a revised frame and suspension setup along with a redesigned seat. The bikes also get a retuned exhaust. All of this has also resulted in a price hike of Rs 1,200 across all variants of the standard Jawa and Forty-Two. The Jawa Classic is priced from Rs 1.78 lakh for the single-channel ABS to Rs 1.86 lakh for the dual-channel ABS version. On the other hand, the prices for the Forty-Two start from Rs 1.64 lakh and go upto Rs 1.73 lakh for the Starlight Blue dual-channel ABS model.
