Classic Legends decided to up their ante by updating two of their offerings- the Jawa Classic and Forty-Two recently. The motorcycles follow the path of the Forty-Two 2.1 which got these updates earlier this year. So without further ado, let’s list down what they are:
More performance
The Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty-Two’s engine remains the same as before. However, with changes to the internals, the 293cc, single-cylinder engine now churns out 26.9bhp of power; a subtle increase from the earlier 26.1bhp. On the contrary, the torque number has dropped from 27.05Nm to 27.02Nm with the update. But, the company claims that the throttle response has improved thanks to the improvement in fueling.
Revised hardware
Just like the Forty-Two 2.1, the standard Jawa and Forty-Two receive a retuned exhaust. They also get a revised frame as well as a redesigned seat for better comfort. To top it off, Classic Legends has also tweaked the suspension setup on both motorcycles, although the hardware remains the same.
New colours
The Forty-Two is offered in an assortment of nine colours which also includes the three paint schemes of the Forty-Two 2.1. While there was no new colour added to the Forty-Two, the Jawa Classic now comes in two new colours- Midnight Grey and Khaki that are offered alongside three other colours that were offered previously.
Pricing
All of these updates have come at a cost as Classic Legends also increased the prices of the two motorcycles by Rs 1,200. Now, the Jawa Standard is priced from Rs 1.77 lakh while the Forty-Two costs Rs 1.64 lakh for the single-channel ABS version.
