- First Jawa Forty Two with dual-channel ABS was delivered in Pune
- Deliveries of single-channel ABS models had started in March
- Price difference in both the models is around Rs 9,000
Classic Legends has commenced the deliveries of the dual-channel ABS variants of Jawa motorcycles in India. The first customer to have received the delivery is from Pune who had booked the Jawa Forty-Two model. The dual-channel ABS variants of the Jawa Standard and Forty Two are priced at Rs 1.72 lakhs and Rs 1.63 lakhs, respectively. The company also has single-channel ABS trims on offer which are around Rs 9,000 cheaper than the dual ABS bikes.
Classic Legends had launched Jawa motorcycles in India in November last year. While the bookings had commenced at the time of the launch, deliveries of the motorcycles started in March this year. However, these were single-channel ABS variants and the dual-channel ABS deliveries were due to start, until now. Replying to a customer query on social media last month, the co-founder of the brand, Anupam Thareja, had confirmed that the dispatches of dual ABS trims will kickstart soon.
Although Classic Legends has already established over 100 dealerships across India, the waiting period for Jawa motorcycles currently stand between six to nine months. The company attributes this long waiting period to delay from the vendor's end. The bikemaker has started deliveries in batches with the order of dispatch depending on the booking sequence. Notably, Classic Legends is trying to speed up the production pace in order to meet the demands on time.
