- Gets revised ergonomics
- Features a new tail light unit
- Gets a rear luggage rack
The upcoming Jawa bobber, likely to be dubbed Perak 2.0, has been spotted testing. It's the first sight of the new Jawa bike on its test run and we can spot some notable updates when comparing it to the current model.
While the bobber styling remains essentially unchanged, you can see that the rider triangle has been altered. The footpegs are now more front set and offer a neutral riding stance. While the headlight isn’t visible clearly, we expect the Czech manufacturer to update it with an LED unit to up the overall package.
The front wheel looks beefier than the one on the current bike and the slash-cut exhaust seems to be tweaked as well. The rear fender now comes with a small luggage rack and the tail light has been moved from the seat to the fender. The test bike is also equipped with an engine crash guard which could be offered as standard fitment on the production unit.
It’s likely to retain the 334cc single-cylinder motor mated to a six-speed gearbox. In its current setup, the engine’s output is 30 bhp and 32.74 Nm and we expect the same to be carried over for the Perak 2.0. Jawa could also employ a new instrument console on the upcoming model.
All these changes could result in a notable price bump once the bike is launched. Currently, it retails at Rs 2,08,187 (ex-showroom Delhi) and rivals the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Benelli Imperiale 400, and the likes.
