The deliveries of the new Jawa Perak are going to commence soon. The posts on company’s social media channels have hinted that the two-wheeler brand will start the deliveries of the Perak bobber from 20 July 2020.
The booking process for the motorcycle began in January this year. The Coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown forced many manufacturers to temporarily shut their production and retail operations. With the country gradually coming out from the lockdown, Jawa will soon commence the deliveries of the Perak bobber.
The Perak is priced at Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bobber motorcycle-inspired styling cues include retro design and a ‘floating’ seat. The motorcycle is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 30bhp of power and 31Nm of peak torque. The Perak is currently the highest displacement Jawa product in the Indian market.
The Perak does not have any direct rivals, although it may face some competition from the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400.
