Classic Legends recently reincarnated the legendary Jawa name in India. Along with the Jawa Forty Two, it also launched the Jawa at Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Here’s the detailed photo gallery of the bike.
The new Jawa sports a design that is an exact replication of the Jawa 353 from the 1950s.
It bike gets oodles of chrome on its components like the tank, rims, mirrors, rear suspension, headlamp bezel, engine case and exhausts.
To add to its retro appeal, the Jawa’s horn is placed under the round headlamp, just like the earlier model.
While the headlamp has conventional lighting, the rear offers uniquely designed LED-lighting.
The bike gets a retro looking analogue speedometer and fuel gauge with a small digital unit that displays odometer and trip meter.
The Jawa is powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 27bhp and 28Nm of torque.
This unit is liquid cooled and is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.
Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic front forks and twin shocks at the rear.
Meanwhile, it uses a 280mm disc at the front and a drum brake for the rear with a single-channel ABS for braking.
Classic Legends is offering the bike in three colours, maroon, grey and black with gold-stripe highlights reminiscent of the original bike.
