Jawa Motorcycles – makers of the new-age Jawa Standard and the Forty Two – has decided to go the distance when it comes to buying experience. The company is currently busy setting up its 100-odd dealership network focusing on sales and service staff training in order to help Jawa buyers make the most of their motorcycles.
And, a step in that direction, are some options that the company will extend to its buyers at no extra cost. These include the choice of four different exhaust notes. Which, by the way, wouldn’t require a different set of exhaust pipes as is generally the case. Instead, the company has designed the db killer such that changing its position inside the end cans changes the way the exhaust sounds. The sound changes from soft and thrummy to loud and dirt bike-like. The latter isn’t as racy as dirt bikes though.
The other option Jawa intends on giving its buyers are different engine maps. The Jawa and the Forty Two will come standard with an engine map that’s best suited for a range of riding needs including commuting, relaxed touring, and of course, fuel efficiency. But, if the customer so chooses, he or she can also opt for a more aggressive riding map. Presently though, we are not sure how the other map options will exactly behave when made available since Jawa is still developing them.
