- Jawa Perak launch on 15 November
- Will be powered by larger-displacement 334cc mill
- Sports Bobber styling with a floating seat design
Jawa Motorcycles has sent out an invite for the first-anniversary celebration of the resurrected brand since its launch last year. The invite also mentions about the unveiling of the next chapter for the company with the silhouette for the motorcycle which closely coincides with the Perak that was showcased during the brand launch. The side profile of the bike has the same floating seat design and the signature Jawa branding on the fuel tank further confirming it to be the bobber-styled Perak.
The company had introduced the classic-styled Jawa and the modern-retro Forty-Two models aimed for old-school Jawa enthusiasts and new-age buyers in the market, respectively. The Perak, on the other hand, is a factory-custom made motorcycle featuring bobber-styling, which gives it a striking stance. It was showcased earlier featuring a matte metallic grey colour scheme with gold pin-striping. Furthermore, it gets a blacked-out treatment for the engine, exhaust, rims, spokes and suspension components.
As for the motor, unlike the Jawa standard and Forty-Two which feature a 293cc motor, the Perak will come with a larger-displacement 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit that will register slightly higher power and torque figures. Transmission duties will continue to be taken care of by a six-speed gearbox. Suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks up front and twin-shock absorber at the back. Braking will be taken care off by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The bobber-styled Perak will be the third product to join Jawa’s current portfolio of motorcycles.
