- Waiting period of six months for both models
- Deliveries to begin by January end
- Production delay caused due to focus on quality rather than quantity
In case you’re planning to buy a Jawa motorcycle anytime soon, be ready to test your patience as there’s a waiting period that stretches to six months. The dealerships that have opened only a few days ago, have started accepting bookings but are reportedly queued up after the online bookings which had begun post the launch in November. Notably, several aspiring customers have booked their preferred Jawa before even seeing the motorcycle in the flesh. There have also been cases of customers changing the colour of their motorcycles as they were unable to finalise on one.
We have also come to understand that the production of the motorcycles – Jawa Standard and Forty-Two has commenced at the company's Pithampur plant in Indore. Corresponding to which, deliveries are expected to begin by end of January. The reason for the delay is mostly because the company’s owner, Classic Legends, wants to emphasise on achieving quality in product over quantity before their motorcycles hit the streets.
Interested buyers lucky to have a dealership in their locality can now head to the dealership and enrol for a test ride of the Jawa Standard and Forty-Two. Bookings are being accepted for a minimum amount of Rs 5000 which is refundable.
