Sherco TVS rider, Joan Pedrero, has clinched the second spot at the Baja Aragon 2017 endurance race in Spain. His team mates Aravind KP and Adrien Metge finished in 13th and 15th position.
The final stage involved a 154 kilometre sprint back to Teruel. Joan Barreda, riding for Honda’s factory team, continued his reign as the fastest motorcycle rider into the second day, scoring his fourth victory at the Baja Aragon. While Joan Pedrero was running in the third position by the end of first day, he improved his performance to grab the second spot, six minutes behind Joan Barreda. Honda factory rider, Michael Metge, finished third, seven minutes behind Joan Pedrero. Aravind KP also put up a stellar performance to improve his standing from the 18th in Day 1 to the 13th by the end of the race. Adrien Metge however, dropped from seventh position to 15th.
This was the 34th edition of the Baja Aragon endurance race. It witnessed the participation of 70 motorcycle and quad bike riders over a total distance of 574.2 kilometres against the clock. The Baja Aragon is one of the flagship races of the discipline in which points count towards the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies, as well as for the Baja FIM World Cup.
