K Rajini, the famed motorcycle racer from India, has won the inaugural Pirelli Malaysia Superbike Championship at the Sepang International Circuit, Kuala Lumpur.
Even after facing tough competition from Muhammad Zaidi from RND Plus Racing Team, Rajini managed to end the season with 143 points – three points more than Zaidi. Rajini rode the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for this championship. However, Zaidi’s Honda CBR1000R was much faster due to which Rajini decided to ride smart and followed him to take the overall crown.
“Actually, I did not push the bike to the max. Zaqhwan has the faster bike and I had to ride smart and just follow him to make sure to collect the championship points to win the overall title. With that achieved, we now look forward for next year to defend the crown,” said Rajini.
“This is my third International crown having won the Malaysian Super Series in 150cc in the year 2006, and then the Losail Asian road racing championship in 600cc in 2013," added Rajini.
We congratulate K Rajini on winning this championship and wish him good luck for his future races.
