- Will be conducted at Kari Speedway on 14 July
- Participation fee of Rs 7,900
- Open only for motorcycles above 900cc
Kawasaki will be conducting a track day for the brand’s superbike owners at the Kari Speedway in Coimbatore, Tamil nadu. Christened as the ‘Kaze Race Track Day’, it is being organised in association with Rajini Academy of Competitive Racing (RACR) on 14 July.
The Kaze race track day is being conducted to help Kawasaki superbike owners realise and utilise the potential of their motorcycles. Instructors from RACR will be present to train the owners to improve their riding techniques. The track day will take place on 14 July between 7:30am and 5:30pm, and the owners will be charged Rs 7,900 as a participation fee.
However, what is surprising is that the track day will be open only for those who own a Kawasaki superbike with a capacity of more than 900cc. This essentially rules out the possibility of owners of middleweight and small capacity superbikes like the Z800, Ninja 650 and the Ninja 300 participating in the event.
Kawasaki has defended the move by saying that they will be conducting separate events for sub-900cc superbike owners in the form of the Ridesafe workshops, the first of which was conducted in Pune in the last month. Kawasaki claims to have received a positive response for this workshop and will be conducting more of these across the country over the next few months. Those who are interested in participating in either of these events can get in touch with any of the Kawasaki dealerships.
