Kawasaki has been little quiet this year. It has revealed just one teaser video ahead of 2017 EICMA which is expected to be of a supercharged sports tourer. But there’s a high chance of the new Ninja 400 making its way to the global stage next month too.
The upcoming Ninja 400 has been spied a few times with the last one being at the commercial ad shoot. This old iteration of this motorcycle is on sale in few markets like Canada and Japan. But there’s a high chance of the new Ninja 400 replacing the less powerful Ninja 300 in most of the markets.
The parallel-twin 400cc motor that will power the Ninja 400 is expected to produce close to 44bhp and 37Nm making it as powerful as the Yamaha YZF-R3 and the KTM RC390. In terms of visual updates, we’re expecting it to get some bits from its litre-class sibling, the Ninja ZX-10R, at least in the fascia.
Kawasaki is bound to ask a premium for the new Ninja 400. Will this bike make it to India? Only time will tell.
