If a British website is to be believed, then Kawasaki is working on a new motorcycle called the ER7, for its 2016 line-up.
Kawasaki already sells the ER6n (naked avatar of the Ninja 650) in India and few other markets. With the introduction of ER7, which could be powered by a 700cc parallel twin engine, Kawasaki might discontinue the ER6n world-wide. However, we don’t really see a reason for this. The Ninja 650 is a proven motorcycle and is one of the most accessible sports tourers in the world. And to top it up, it doesn't need to feel threatened by competition..
The rumours also suggest that the overall design and styling of the so called ER7 will be inspired from the Ninja H2, which we don’t think will be possible. If this rumour is true, we will surely see something at the 2015 EICMA event.
