-Ninja 300 and Ninja ZX-6R unaffected
-Hike is due to increased cost of manufacturing
Kawasaki has increased the prices of its motorcycles by up to 7 per cent in India.
The hike in price affects 11 models in its line-up except the Ninja 300 and Ninja ZX-6R which continue to be priced at Rs 2.98 lakh and Rs 10.49 lakh each. On the other hand, Z650 and Ninja 650 receive a hike of Rs 40,000. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 which was launched a couple of months ago at Rs 10.69 lakh gets a Rs 20,000 hike. However, the Ninja 400 gets the most shocking hike of Rs 30,000. The motorcycle now costs Rs 4.99 lakh; that is a premium of Rs 2.5 lakh over the KTM RC390.
The other models which include the Vulcan, Z900, Z900 RS, Ninja 1000, Ninja H2 and H2 SX also receive considerable increase in their prices. Kawasaki has said that the reason for the hike is the increase cost of manufacturing and fluctuation in foreign exchange rates. We the list comparing the old and new prices-
