India Kawasaki Motors has silently updated the Ninja 650 with a new colour scheme. The bike still gets the black and lime green shades but the implementation has been reversed. The lime green now is seen only in some parts of the fairing- front fuel tank area and tail section, while the rest of the bike area is covered with matt black paint.
The Kawasaki badging has been shifted down from the tank to the engine cowl area and the tank now features the Ninja moniker. The 2014 variant of the Ninja 650 has reached showrooms and bookings are on. We contacted few dealers who confirmed the price remains unchanged. The sports tourer aesthetically looks very nice and is one of the most practical middle-weight bikes you can buy in India.
We would have been the happiest editorial team if the Japanese manufacturer had included the anti-lock braking system (ABS) in this new version. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer is known to offer motorcycles with brilliant pricing; this obviously doesn’t apply to the Ninja 300. The company will add two new motorcycles to their line-up this year, the Z250 and the ER-6n. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details about the Kawasaki brand.
