- Teaser image shows two motorcycles
- Likely to launch Ninja 300 BS6
- Launch date unavailable
Kawasaki India has confirmed via its social media handles that it will soon update its portfolio in the country. While the details are scarce, the teaser photograph shows two motorcycles. Dealer sources suggest that one of the two models could be the company’s highest selling motorcycle, the Ninja 300. The updated model could carry a price premium over its predecessor. The BS4 model, for reference, was sold for Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The changes would most likely be limited to the engine. The styling cues and the feature list, on the other hand, could remain unaltered. Thus, the BS6-compliant Ninja 300 should retain a twin-pod headlight setup, fairing integrated front turn indicators, semi-digital instrument cluster, a muscular fuel tank, and split-style seats.
The engine displacement, too, should remain unchanged. Thus, the BS6-compliant version should continue to use a 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor. The power and torque output numbers could be marginally lower than the BS4 version’s 38.4bhp and 27Nm.
The details about the second model are unavailable yet. The updated models should arrive in the coming weeks.
