Kawasaki launched the 2019 version of its off-road enduro motorcycle, the KLX450R in India. The price of motorcycle has remained unchanged at Rs 8.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). As a part of the changes, the 2019 model received minor graphical alterations.
It comes with an LED tail lamp and digital instrument cluster which consists of speedometer, twin trip meters, odometer and clock. The 2019 KLX450R is powered by a 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC mill that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike gets electric as well as kick starter.
The perimeter aluminum frame of the KLX450R is suspended on 48mm inverted AOS type telescopic forks on the front and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. As for the anchoring, it incorporates a 250mm semi-floating petal disc on the front and a 240mm petal disc at the rear. The motorcycle weighs just 126kg and gets an 8-litre fuel tank.
It is available in India via the CBU route and can be ridden only within a private property or designated course. It is not available as a road-legal bike.
