- 2023 Ninja H2 SX gets auto high beam feature
- Uses cameras to detect
- Works above 20kmph in darkness
Kawasaki has introduced a new tech on its super-premium motorcycle – the 2023 Ninja H2 SX. This sports tourer now gets something called auto high beam technology.
As the name suggests, this system will automatically switch on the high beam function of the motorcycle. This is achieved through a set of sensors and cameras placed on the front of the motorcycle. This system uses these sensors and cameras to detect the light levels from the vehicles in front. It also detects the light emitting from the street lights and then takes a call on whether the high beam should be engaged. For this system to function, the light switch needs to be set to high beam and the bike’s speed should be above 20kmph in darkness. A green icon is shown on the colour TFT screen when the system is engaged and working for the rider.
This tech is something that will help the rider and also the oncoming vehicles. For the rider, there will be one less task to do, because the Ninja H2 SX is one fast motorcycle and the rider needs to be fully focused on the road. Plus, for the oncoming drivers, the system will help them reduce their overall fatigue.
