- Bimota KB4 spotted in near-production form
- Looks similar to the leaked render images
- Powered by the Kawasaki Ninja 1000’s motor
The Bimota KB4 was teased at the EICMA last year and rendered images were leaked only a month ago. Now, the Italian manufacturer’s upcoming motorcycle has been spied testing in near-production form.
The styling of the motorcycle has been derived from the 1970 Bimota KB1 hence it sports a bubble fairing with a circular headlamp that gives it a retro appeal. However, the headlamp is a full-LED unit and the aerodynamic vents in the fairing add to its modernity. Moreover, the muscular shape of the fuel tank and the sleek tail section gives the Bimota KB4 a modern sportbike look.
Underneath its fairing is a 1043cc, inline-four-cylinder engine. This 140bhp-producing engine has been borrowed from the Kawasaki Ninja 1000. While it is unclear from the spy images, the Bimota KB4 is expected to use Ohlins-sourced suspension and Brembo brakes.
We can expect Bimota to officially unveil the KB4 by the end of this year, most likely at the EICMA in Italy. Unfortunately, the motorcycle will not be available in India anytime soon.
