- 1358 Ninja 300 ABS recalled
- Issue with front-brake master cylinder
- Affected motorcycles manufactured between August 2018 and March 2019
Kawasaki India has issued a major recall for the Ninja 300 ABS – a motorcycle that is loaded with a few localized components. The company said that there’s an issue with the front-brake master cylinder.
According to the company, the hardness of the primary lip seal in the front-brake cylinder is insufficient, due to which it could peel off when the front brake is applied. This could possibly affect the braking efficiency of the motorcycle that could also result into a crash.
A total of 1358 motorcycles manufactured between August 2018 and March 2019 have been affected by the recall. Kawasaki dealers are in the process of contacting its customers and will ask them to bring their affected motorcycles to the service center to replace the faulty master cylinder free of cost.
The Japanese maker had launched the Ninja 300 ABS with a good pricing as it managed to localize some major components like brakes, tyres, wheels and even some body panels.
