Kawasaki recently launched the Ninja 300 ABS in India at Rs 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). At a similar price point there are nine other motorcycles that you can buy. Here is the list-
On offer are the Ninja 300’s biggest rivals; the KTM RC390 and the Yamaha YZF-R3 priced at Rs 2.37 lakhs and Rs 3.48 lakhs respectively. Both bikes feature a dual-channel ABS as standard. The RC390 is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 42bhp and 37Nm of torque. The YZF-R3 uses a 321cc, parallel-twin motor that puts out 41bhp and 29Nm of torque. Another fully-faired motorcycle in this list is the Hyosung GT250R at Rs 3.62 lakhs. The bike is powered by a 250cc V-twin engine which produces 28bhp and 22Nm of torque.
Kawasaki also has a streetfighter in the form of the Z250. However, unlike the Ninja 300, the Z250 misses out on an ABS unit. It is powered by a 249cc, parallel-twin motor that churns out 31.5bhp and 21Nm of torque. The Kawasaki Z250 will cost you Rs 3.08 lakhs. KTM has the 390 Duke priced at Rs 2.40 lakhs. It is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 42bhp and 37Nm of torque. It is equipped with a dual-channel ABS that can be switched off for the rear wheel in the ‘supermoto’ mode. There is the Benelli TNT 300 at Rs 3.43 lakhs. It uses a 300cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 37bhp and 26Nm of torque. You could also have the recently launched BMW G310 R which retails at Rs 2.99 lakhs. The bike sports a 313cc, single that churns out 33bhp and 28Nm of torque.
Powered by the same engine as the G310 R is an adventure-tourer that you can opt for; the BMW G310 GS. The bike is priced at Rs 3.49 lakhs. BMW has equipped both its small-capacity motorcycles with a dual-channel ABS unit. If you want a cruiser in this price range, Hyosung has the GV250 at Rs 3.3lakhs. The bike uses a 249cc V-twin that produces 26bhp and 21Nm of torque. Nevertheless, it does not come equipped with an ABS unit.
