Bajaj will be doing a dealer launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM Duke 390 on April 10 – a Pro-Biking dealer from Mumbai confirmed the same. The dealers are accepting bookings for the Kawasaki Ninja 300 for a token amount of Rs 40,000. The display and the deliveries for the Kawasaki Ninja 300 will commence after the dealer launch, whereas the KTM Duke 390 deliveries will start in the month of May.
As per the dealer, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 will be priced at Rs 4 lakh on road Mumbai for the non-ABS version and will be available in two colours, white and green. We have been informed that the company is not planning to launch the ABS version any time soon.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by 296cc parallel-twin fuel-injected engine that produces 38.8bhp of power at 11,000rpm and 27Nm of torque. The mill is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 173kg.
The showroom says that the KTM Duke 390 will be priced at Rs 2.5 lakh on road Mumbai – almost a Rs 1 lakh more than the Duke 200. The price sounds a bit steep, as it shares most of its parts with the Duke200. Then again there is no other motorcycle with similar specs in the Indian market and looking at the bikes that are available for around Rs 2 lakh, the Duke 390 still sounds like a decent deal.
