- Offer valid till 31 October
- Extension to last month’s discount
Kawasaki is trying to make the most of the Indian festive season and the increased buying sentiment during this period, just like most other two-wheeler brands. The Japanese brand is offering a Rs. 10,000 discount on the Ninja 300 in India and the offer will be valid only till 31 October. Notably, Kawasaki was offering the same discount last month and this just seems to be the extension of its validity. The ex-showroom price (without discount) of the bike is Rs. 3.43 lakh.
The Ninja 300 has remained unchanged in almost every aspect for years now, barring the internal tweaks in its engine to comply with the tightening emission norms. What’s commendable though is that it’s one of the most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycles on sale in India. In fact, it’s priced lower now as compared to when it was first launched in India in 2013 at Rs. 3.50 lakh, ex-showroom. This is courtesy of Kawasaki turning it into a locally manufactured product from CBU (completely built-up).
The Ninja 300 is powered by a 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 38.88bhp and 26.1Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Underpinned by a tubular diamond-type chassis, it rides on 17-inch wheels with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 goes up against the likes of the KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310, Yamaha R3, and the Aprilia RS 457.
