- Bookings open in India
- To be sold in three colour options
- Gets updated graphics
Kawasaki dealers have commenced the bookings for the BS6-compliant Ninja 300 in the Indian market. While the Japanese manufacturer is yet to list the motorcycle on its India website, the company has revealed two more colour options. Apart from the previously showcased Lime Green paint, the 296cc motorcycle will also be available in Lime Green/Ebony and Black colours.
The styling, as reported earlier, hasn’t received any changes, although the BS6 model benefits from an updated graphic scheme. The design features, retained from the BS4 model, include a twin-pod headlight at the front, fairing integrated front blinkers, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, and a chrome heatshield on the exhaust. The cycle parts, similar to the BS4 version, include telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS.
The mechanical specifications are not available yet. The motorcycle will retain the 296cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, although the power and torque output numbers could be slightly different from the old model. The BS4-compliant Ninja 300, for reference, was tuned to produce 38.4bhp of maximum power and 27Nm of peak torque.
The updated model should carry a marginal price premium over the BS4 model. The old model was sold for Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
