The deliveries of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 have commenced in the Indian market. The BS6-compliant motorcycle, which was launched in March 2021, recently started reaching the dealerships. The delay in the deliveries could be associated to the lockdown situation in the country due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer started dispatching the BS6-compliant Ninja 300 from its factory in May 2021. The BS6-compliant Ninja 300 has been priced at Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is nearly Rs 20,000 more expensive than its predecessor. The Ninja 300 BS6 is available with the K-Care that brings an extended warranty and an annual maintenance contract.
The 2021 iteration of the company’s entry-level model in the Indian market retains the design of its predecessor. It does, however, gets revised graphics. The BS6 model is available in three colour options – Lime Green with KRT graphics, Candy Lime Green, and Ebony. Mechanical specifications retain the 296cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 38.8bhp at 11,000rpm and 26.1Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm. The numbers are similar to the BS4 model.
