- Gets updated graphics
- Styling remains unaltered
- Prices not available yet
Kawasaki India has unveiled the BS6-compliant Ninja 300 on its social media handles. The company, however, is yet to update its India website. Thus, the mechanical specifications are not available at the time of reporting. We do not expect to see drastic fall in the power and torque output numbers post the BS6 upgrade. The BS4 version, for reference, was tuned to draw 38.4bhp and 27Nm from the 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor.
The styling cues, on the other hand, remain unaltered, and the BS6 model continues to feature a twin-pod headlight, fairing integrated front blinkers, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, and chrome heatshield on the exhaust. The photograph on the company’s social media handles reveals the updated graphic scheme, although the details about the complete colour palette are unavailable at the moment.
Similar to the design, the cycle parts, too, will be carried forward from the BS4 version. Thus, the Ninja 300 BS6 will continue to use telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking setup will include single rotors on both wheels while the safety net will be provided by dual-channel ABS.
The prices for the BS6 version are yet to be announced. We expect the updated version to carry a marginal price premium over the BS4 model’s Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) tag.
