Kawasaki recently launched the Ninja 300 BS6 in India with a price tag of Rs 3.18 lakh; Rs 20,000 over the BS4 model. Nonetheless, if you are in the market looking for a motorcycle in that price bracket, there are three options for you to consider.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Now the Continental GT 650 is a cafe racer and it offers low-slung handlebars for an aggressive riding position, similar to the Ninja 300. Although it does not come with a fairing and focuses more on the retro side of things when it comes to design. Nevertheless, the Continental GT 650 comes powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp and 52Nm. There are not many features on offer but it does come with a dual-channel ABS and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has a starting price of Rs 2.85 lakh which can go up to Rs 3.06 lakh for the Chrome paint option.
BMW G310 GS
If you want an ADV in the price bracket of the Kawasaki Ninja 300, there are two options; one being the BMW G310 GS that is priced at Rs 2.90 lakh. The motorcycle is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that has been derived from the TVS Apache RR 310. This motor churns out 33.5bhp and 28Nm. BMW has equipped the G310 GS with features like full-LED lighting, slipper and assist clutch and ride-by-wire throttle. It also gets adjustable levers and a tail rack as standard.
The other adventure touring motorcycle in this list is the 390 Adventure priced at Rs 3.10 lakh. The 390 Adventure is KTM’s flagship ADV model in India and comes equipped with features like switchable ABS, TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and full-LED lighting. Powering the motorcycle is a 373cc, single-cylinder engine from the 390 Duke. The motor churns out 42.3bhp and 37Nm.
