Kawasaki Ninja 300 gets two new colours

- Lime Green and Metallic Moon Dust Grey colour options added

- Continues to be priced at Rs 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

- Remains mechanically the same

The Ninja 300 is the most affordable fully-faired supersport offering in Kawasaki’s current portfolio in India. In order to give the motorcycle a new lease of life, the company has introduced two new colour options, Lime Green and Metallic Moon Dust Grey. The new colour schemes are available at no extra cost to the Ninja 300’s existing sticker price of Rs 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Besides the addition of the new liveries, the motorcycle remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 296cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC motor that is capable of churning out 39bhp and 27Nm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and is accompanied by a slipper clutch.

For cycle parts, the Ninja 300 gets telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by a 290mm single disc with a two-piston caliper at the front and a 220mm single disc with a single-piston caliper for the rear.The braking system is equipped with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 (front) and 140/70 (rear) section road-biased tyres.

The Ninja 300 is a successor to the Ninja 250 that was previously sold by Kawasaki. Over the years, the Japanese bike maker has updated the aesthetics and technology of the motorcycle. According to the company, the Ninja 300 has helped the brand remain the leader in 300cc premium supersports segment. Kawasaki had recently reduced the pricing of the motorcycle by achieving heavy localisation, thus making it more accessible for buyers in the 300cc supersport segment.

In India, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 competes against the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC390, TVS Apache RR310 and the Benelli 302R.
