The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the smallest member of the iconic Ninja family. Priced at Rs 4.43 lakhs, the Ninja 300 goes up against the Yamaha YZF-R3, Benelli 302R and to some extent, even the KTM RC390. Here is a photo gallery of the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 – 

The sharp styling draws inspiration from the litre-class Ninja ZX-10R. The twin headlamp setup, integrated turn indicators and the fairing give it a sporty look. 

For 2018, Kawasaki introduced the KRT paint scheme for the Ninja 300 inspired by Kawasaki’s factory WSBK race bike’s livery. 

The pillion grab rail is clearly an afterthought and a major eyesore. Nevertheless, getting rid of it isn’t a difficult task. 

The clip-on handlebars are slightly raised and offer a comfortable riding position. The windscreen offers good wind protection on highways, as long as you crouch a little. 

The sculpted fuel tank allows you to securely latch yourself to the bike. You can mount a magnetic tank bag onto it as it is a metal tank.

The instrument console prominently features an analogue tachometer, and gets a digital display at the bottom right, which displays the speed, fuel level, odometer and trip meters.

Powering the Ninja 300 is a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, delivering 38.5bhp and 27Nm of torque, and mated to a six-speed transmission with slipper clutch. 

The Ninja 300 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with IRC radials at both ends. It gets 37mm conventional telescopic front forks and a linked rear monoshock. 

The brake setup consists of a 290mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, both of which get a two-piston calliper. ABS is not offered even as an optional extra.
