Kawasaki Ninja 300 recalled in US, again!

Kawasaki has recalled the Ninja 300 in US due to potential ECU issue. The company will be recalling both, the non-ABS and the ABS variant of the motorcycle that have been manufactured between 16 July 2012 and 27 April 2013.

Around 11,097 units of the Ninja 300 motorcycle have been affected to the west of Atlantic. Due to an improper setting in the electronic control unit (ECU), there is a chance of motorcycle stalling during deceleration, increasing the risk of a potential crash. The company has already begun notifying owners through their dealer network and will replace the ECU free of cost. It is still not known if the Indian spec model has been affected due to the same issue

This isn’t the first time the Japanese maker has recalled the Ninja 250R replacer in US. Last month the company recalled 1083 units of the Ninja 300 due to a potential ABS problem that might increase the risk of a crash. Recalling a motorcycle in a span for just 45 days doesn’t really inspire confidence in the product, especially when it has many takers.
