Kawasaki India recently launched the Ninja 400 in the Indian market with an exorbitant price tag of Rs 4.69 lakhs. Around that price range, there are four other options you could look at. We list down the motorcycles you could buy for the price of the Kawasaki Ninja 400-
You could have the Kawasaki Z650 that gets a price tag of Rs 4.99 lakhs; a premium of just Rs 30,000 over the Ninja 400. The streetfighter gets sharper styling inspired by the Sugomi design of the bigger Z1000. It is powered by a bigger 650cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67.2bhp and 65.7Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.
Also on offer is the Versys X-300. It gets long travel suspension, spoked-wheels and a 19-inch front wheel. However, Kawasaki has equipped the bike with road-biased tyres instead of off-road ones. Powering the bike is a 296cc, parallel-twin engine similar to the Ninja 300. This unit produces 38.7bhp and 25.7Nm of torque via six-speed gearbox and final chain drive. It is priced at Rs 4.69 lakhs.
If the streetfighter and adventure tourer didn’t appeal to you, there is the Harley-Davidson Street 750. The cruiser is the American manufacturer’s most affordable offering priced at Rs 5.45 lakhs. The Street 750 is powered by a V-twin ‘Revolution X’ engine. This unit puts out 47bhp and 59Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission with belt drive.
The last bike on this list also comes from Kawasaki in the form if the KX100F. It is the smallest bike in the company’s competitive off-road motorcycles. The KX100F is powered by a 99cc, carburetted, two-stroke engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike is priced at Rs 4.88 lakhs. However, it is not road legal.
