Kawasaki has launched the Ninja 650 KRT Edition in India at a price of Rs 5.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bike features the manufacturer’s racing team livery that consists of black, green and grey.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition is around Rs 16,000 more expensive than the standard bike and will be available at dealerships soon. Apart from the new paint scheme, there are no mechanical changes. Borrowing its design from the Ninja ZX-10R, the Ninja 650 sports an aggressive design unlike the previous touring-focused model. It also gets rear-set foot pegs and a shorter handlebar to accentuate its design language.
The Ninja 650 KRT continues to sports a 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces 67.2bhp and 65.7Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Suspension is taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks upfront and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. With ABS offered as standard, the bike gets twin 300mm petal disc brakes for the front wheel and a 220mm petal disc brake at the rear.
