Kawasaki had launched the 2020 Ninja 650 BS6 in India in May this year. It was available in two paint schemes including Pearl Flat Stardust White and Lime Ebony Green. Now, as per Kawasaki’s latest announcement, a new Lime Green version has been added to its colour palette which will be sold at the same price – Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the previous green colour will be available only at select dealerships across India.
The new Lime Green paint scheme looks similar to the previous Ebony version with a combination of green and matte grey shades. However, the former has been adorned with different graphics like red stripes on its front fascia, fairing and rear panel. Also, the bottom part of the fairing has been finished in white.
The 2020 Ninja 650 sports a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp while the instrumentation comprises of a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Powering the motorcycle is a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 66.4bhp and 64Nm. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Stopping power comes from twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear along with dual-channel ABS.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 competes against the Honda CBR650R which is yet to be introduced in the BS6 avatar.
