Kawasaki has launched its latest supercharged motorcycle, the Ninja H2 SX in US. Priced at $19,000 (Rs 12.23 lakh), the Ninja H2 SX is $9000 cheaper than its supersport sibling, the Ninja H2.
Built around the 988cc in-line four motor as the Ninja H2, the Ninja H2 SX is a sports tourer with a more relaxed riding experience. The overall seating triangle has been designed for comfortable long hauls. The trellis frame has been completely reworked to match the bike’s nature. In fact, a lot of thought has gone towards designing the subframe to take care of the added pillion and luggage weights.
The 998cc motor on this fully-faired motorcycle has been tweaked to deliver more power and torque at the low and mid-range. The Japanese manufacturer has left no stone unturned to equip this fast motorcycle with the latest gadgets. It gets the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, multi-level traction control system, bi-directional quick shifter, launch control and engine braking control. The Ninja H2 SX misses out on the electronic suspension but does gets fully-adjustable setup with remote preload adjuster at the rear.
There’s another top-spec variant Ninja H2 SX SE available in the US market as well. This model gets the green Ninja colour, lower windscreen, cornering lamps cover and an increase price tag of $22,000 (Rs 14.16 lakh). Kawasaki India sells the Ninja H2 and the H2R in India. So there’s a high chance of these supercharged touring motorcycles also making their way to India. We asked Kawasaki about it, but they decided to keep mum.
