Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Ninja ZX-10R in a new trim called the 40th Anniversary Edition. The model has been launched in the US and here’s what it offers.
The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition comes painted in the Japanese brand’s flagship colours and commemorates the brand’s four decades. It comes draped in Lime Green, Pearl Crystal White, and blue colours. This new aesthetic update makes the Ninja ZX-10R look quite swanky. Apart from this, the bike retains all its other aspects from the standard model. So, the design, hardware, features, and engine remain completely unaltered.
Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition is a 998cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that dishes out an eye-watering 200.21bhp and 114.9Nm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a quickshifter, too. Then, there are rider aids like cruise control, engine brake control, launch control, cornering management function, power modes, ABS, and more. Kawasaki also offers LED illumination and smartphone connectivity for added convenience.
The ZX-10R rides on 43mm USD balance-free forks with rebound and compression damping, as well as spring preload adjustability. Its rear end comprises a gas-charged monoshock. The braking hardware comprises dual 330mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc with ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear tyres.
In the US, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition is priced at USD 19,149 (approximately Rs. 15.93 lakh, sans taxes). For reference, the standard model is priced at Rs. 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India.
