Kawasaki has commenced the deliveries of the first batch of the Ninja ZX-4R. Only 25 units have been allotted for each slot across India. The asking price of the Ninja ZX-4R is Rs. 8,49,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it the most expensive 400cc bike currently on sale in India. The first two slots of bikes have already been sold out, and as per our dealer sources, the booking window is currently open for the third slot. Interested buyers who reserve the Ninja ZX-4R now are likely to get the deliveries early next year.
Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a 399cc inline four-cylinder engine and it makes 75.9bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a quickshifter.
The list of rider aids includes ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain or Rider), traction control, and ABS. Then, there is also a TFT with smartphone connectivity for added convenience. The hardware of the Ninja ZX-4R includes USD front forks and a monoshock, while its braking duties are handled by a double front and single rear disc setup. The brakes are mounted on 17-inch wheels.
On the design front, the Ninja ZX-4R is a proper supersport offering. It gets low-set clip-ons and rear-set footpegs, which make it easier to tuck in at higher speeds. Kawasaki offers the motorcycle in a single paint scheme called Metallic Spark Black. There are no direct rivals to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R as of now. However, if you are looking for affordable options in the same category, then there are bikes like the KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Ninja 400, as well as the BMW G 310 R.
