- Booking amount was set at Rs. 50,000

Our dealer sources have confirmed that the first two batches of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R have been sold out. Each batch consisted of 25 bikes from PAN India. While the brand has not given an official comment, we have learned that the deliveries for the first slot will commence sometime this month or early next month and the second slot bikes will be delivered in December. For the ones that could not get their hands on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, fret not, you can still book the bike but it will arrive in February 2024.
The previous booking amount was set at Rs. 50,000 but certain dealers have now hiked it to Rs. 1.5 lakh. The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R looks similar to the other bikes in Kawasaki’s stable. It gets a sharp fascia consisting of a split headlight and a transparent visor. The bodywork, too, is quite sharp and the Ninja ZX-4R is a thoroughbred supersport motorcycle. It’s equipped with rear-set footpegs, and low-set clip-on handles and the overall riding position seems fairly commanding.
Powering the ZX-4R is a 399cc inline four-cylinder motor and it develops 75.9bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a quickshifter, too. Then, there are rider aids like ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain or Rider), traction control, and ABS. For added convenience, the Ninja ZX-4R also gets a TFT with smartphone connectivity. The motorcycle rides on USD front forks and a monoshock, while its braking hardware includes a double front and single rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels.
With its asking price of Rs. 8,49,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is the most expensive 400cc bike in India right now. It has no direct rivals either.
