Kawasaki India is likely to launch the 2024 Ninja ZX-6R today at the India Bike Week 2023. The updated Japanese middleweight could make its debut today and here is what we know about it.
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has received minor updates on the design front and is now compliant with the latest norms as well. It gets a thoroughbred supersport design with low clip-ons and rear set footpegs. Then, the fascia now gets curves but the overall fairing features cuts and creases throughout.
Powering the new Ninja ZX-6R is a 636cc, in-line, four-cylinder engine that makes 129bhp at 13,000rpm and 69Nm at 10,800rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. To back up the firepower, Kawasaki has equipped the bike with traction control, ride modes, ABS, and other safety features.
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R rides on Showa Separate Function forks (SFF-BP) and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. It gets rebound and compression damping and spring preload adjustability. Then, the brakes include 310mm dual front discs and a single 220mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres.
Kawasaki is likely to price the new Ninja ZX-6R at Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It will likely be the only supersport offering iin the middleweight segment in India for a while.
