- 2023 Kawasaki ZX-6R India launch tomorrow
- Gets new styling and features
- Will be priced around Rs 12 lakh
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R debuted in the country at the IBW 2023 earlier this month and now, the supersport motorcycle is set to make its debut tomorrow, 1 January.
The 2023 edition receives a few changes to set it apart from the previous model. To begin with, there is the updated design that is similar across the Ninja range including the ZX-4R that was recently launched in India. It comes with clip-on bars and aggressive bodywork with the signature split LED headlamps at the front. The ZX-6R also comes with Bluetooth compatible TFT screen as standard.
Well, with that said, Kawasaki has kept the 636cc inline-four engine but made it Euro 5-compliant. This motor churns out 128bhp and 69Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox with quickshifter. As for cycle parts, the motorcycle gets adjustable Showa USD forks and a rear shock while braking is done by dual 310mm discs up front and a single 220mm rear disc. The Ninja rides on 17-inch wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tyres.
While the updates are mostly limited to the fascia and features, the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will demand a slightly higher price compared to the previous model. We expect it to be in the ball park of around Rs 12 lakh and go up against the Aprilia RS 660 in India.
