- Ninja ZX-4R could borrow design from ZX-10R
- Could churn out over 50bhp
- Likely to be unveiled in the next few months
The rumour about the all-new Kawasaki ZX-4R has been going around since the Japanese manufacturer launched the ZX-25R in 2020. However, the latest reports from the land of the rising sun suggest that the motorcycle could see the light of day soon.
As the report reads out, the upcoming ZX-4R could bear great resemblance to the recently revamped ZX-10R, at least in terms of design. This could be an LED headlamp unit sunken in and a sharp nose as a shroud.
Moreover, the fascia is also likely to sport a built-in air-duct and some more cuts and creases- a design that could be then carried to its siblings in the Ninja family. With that said, we would have to wait and see whether Kawasaki launches it in the 90’s ZX-7R inspired colour scheme of retro green, white and blue.
Now, the details about the Ninja ZX-4R’s spec sheet are kept hidden although, it is safe to say that it would churn out well over 50bhp; the number its smaller counterpart, the Ninja ZX-25R offers. According to reports, Kawasaki is expected to push the output towards 80-100bhp, in the vicinity of the Aprilia RS660 and Yamaha R7. However, it is still unclear whether the manufacturer would have the ZX-4R to replace the now out-of-production ZX-6R globally.
Now, Kawasaki is likely to premiere the Ninja ZX-4R sometime soon. However, whether it is looking to launch the motorcycle in India is yet to be seen.
