- Offer valid till 31 October
- Most expensive bike in its class
To mark the festive season in India, Kawasaki is offering a Rs. 10,000 discount on the Ninja 500. This is a limited-period offer and is valid only till 31 October. Notably, the company was offering the same discount last month and this just seems like the extension of the validity. The price (without discount) of the Ninja 500 is Rs. 5.24 lakh, ex-showroom which makes it the most expensive offering in its class due to it being a CBU (completely built-up) product for India.
The Ninja 500 replaced the Ninja 400 last year and received multiple updates over the latter. Most importantly, it’s powered by a bigger 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 44.7bhp at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The hardware continues to be traditional with 17-inch alloy wheels, telescopic forks, a monoshock, and a single disc at both ends.
The Ninja 500 is a major departure from the Ninja 400 on the visual front. Although the overall stance looks similar, the former looks bigger and more muscular with a bulkier front end and side fairings. Further, with a nicely sculpted fuel tank and upswept tail section, it looks like a quintessential Ninja. In the features department, the Ninja 500 is underequipped compared to its rivals. It gets a negative LCD cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity and displays rider information such as mobile notifications and riding logs. Other features include dual-channel ABS and an assist and slipper clutch.
