Kawasaki has made its foray into the sporty 125cc segment with the new Ninja 125 and Z125. The bikes are focused at the European continent for A2 license holders.
Both the bikes borrow their styling directly from their 250cc siblings, the Ninja 250SL and Z250 SL. The Ninja 125 gets a full-fairing and an aggressive riding position with rear-set foot pegs. The Z125 on the other hand, is the streetfighter version of the Ninja 125 and offers a comparatively upright riding position. The Z125 too has an aggressive stance thanks to the low-slung headlamp and sharp tank extensions.
The Ninja 125 and Z125 are powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, water-cooled engine that produces 14.8bhp. Suspension setup on both bikes are similar with conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile braking hardware consists of a single disc brake on both ends with ABS as standard.
Kawasaki is scheduled to unveil the bikes along with full-details at the Intermot show early next month. However, these bikes are unlikely to enter India anytime soon as pricing them competitively would be a task for the manufacturer.
