- Select Kawasaki dealerships resume operations
- Showroom timing will depend on COVID-19 regulations in the locality
- Customers to compulsorily wear a mask
At the beginning of this month, Kawasaki re-opened its showrooms in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad and Indore. The company then went on to resume operations at dealerships in South Delhi, West Delhi, Nagpur, Surat, Ahmedabad and Patna in the second week of June. Now, Kawasaki dealerships in Kolkata, Chennai, Coimbatore and Jaipur have also started functioning.
The brand seems to be strategically resuming operations across the country. The showroom timings will depend on the COVID-19 rules and regulations set by the local authorities. Likewise, customers are expected to compulsorily wear a mask while visiting the showroom.
Due to the lockdown imposed in a few cities owing to the second wave of the pandemic, Kawasaki had shut down its dealerships in the respective cities from April. The Japanese manufacturer had also cancelled events and rides scheduled in May.
However, the company had started the deliveries of the new BS6 Ninja ZX-10R from April and the BS6 Ninja 300 from May in cities where strict lockdown wasn't imposed. Moreover, the company has also recently launched the 2021 Ninja H2R in India. What's more, the Japanese automaker has registered a trademark for the E-Boost brand Internationally which could be used to name its upcoming electric motorcycle or to brand certain features. We are awaiting more details of the same.
